Yet there is a ‘dark side’ to Dubai that many women only discover too late, according to Manchester-based Aramas International Lawyers’ Samara Iqbal. She told of being inundated with calls for help from not only women but also men wanting protection amid fears they have been – or could be – exploited by a partner who promised a cushy new lifestyle in the Middle East.
