GOP lobbyist Jack Burkman holds presser with parents of murdered DNC staffer Seth Rich
WASHINGTON – Joel and Mary Rich, parents of murdered Democratic National Committee staffer Seth Rich, will join GOP lobbyist Jack Burkman at a news conference Monday to bring attention to the unsolved killing.
Rich, 27, was shot to death while walking home from a Washington, D.C. bar. Police say Mr. Rich was a victim of a botched robbery however his wallet, watch and cell phone were not taken. Others say Tich was the DNC leaker.
In September, Mr. Burkman announced that he would offer a $100,000 reward for information into the killing that remains unsolved.
Working for the family pro bono, Mr. Burkman wants the family to obtain justice for the loss of their son.
Burkman, a Republican lobbyist, offered to assist the Rich family because the crime has shaken the entire D.C. political community regardless of party.
