As a low income student, Stanford was jarring in some ways. They lack the resources and the community to properly support students for disadvantaged backgrounds. I had a wonderful time at Stanford and I met some of my best friends there, but that does not take away from the fact that the experience was often an uphill battle. Alum 2 months ago
WORST PARTS OF STANFORD: When it rains it sucks to go to class because of the size of campus. People really don’t bike well and more people need to wear helmets. Lake Lag is far away from most freshman dorms and it has the best late night, that’s a damn crime. heatperpeutal924 • 4 yr. ago.

The number 1 reason why you should not study at Harvard or Stanford is the cost. While top universities might offer scholarships, they might not be close enough to your home so that you can save on travel expenses. Also, the general environment and area around those universities tends to be more costly.
