It is not the first time Kiani, described by Joe Biden in 2018 as ‘one of my closest friends’, has offered shelter to a troubled Biden family member. Kiani, who runs Masimo Corporation, offered Joe’s niece Caroline Biden a job in their marketing department in July 2018 after a slew of bad press following her conviction for a year-long spree using a stolen credit card to rack up $110,000 of charges.

Independence County Circuit Judge Holly Meyer today ordered Biden to attend the court hearing on May 1 because his absence is ‘interfering with the process of litigation.’ ‘From now on … I want both of your clients at every hearing I conduct. I will no longer allow us to excuse clients because it is interfering with the progress of litigation, which is taking way too long to get over simple points,’ she said.
